Celebrating three years together

19 Oct 2021

On Wednesday October 6, WA Deaf Seniors celebrated their third year of membership at their regular monthly meeting at Lake Monger Recreation Club with a surprise cake. As many as 40 members were in attendance and David Gibson who introduced WADRA members to our Club gave a presentation on how it all came about and the ongoing success of their affiliation with LMRC.

Deaf Seniors Day is one of a number of activities the deaf community hold at LMRC along with Craft days, Pool and Dart competitions and social poker nights and bowling. Over the last three years LMRC and the deaf community have forged a great relationship which we hope will continue and grow from strength to strength. Many of our staff and volunteers are becoming more confident with their AUSLAN and its lovely to see so many making an effort to learn more.
