Coffee and Cake!

Lake Monger is such a beautiful setting to sit and have a coffee and cake. Now we are open again, please come and enjoy the view. It’s a fabulous place to meet friends and enjoy the Clubs views.

If you have family or friends that might be interested, please invite them to come along and talk to us, we are also very keen to get a women’s team up and running. We already have some ladies who are keen to start, we just need a few more.

Over the past seven years, Bowls Australia (BA) has successfully staged 11 Bowls Premier League (BPL) events. LMRC is to host one round in August. LMRC will enter at least 2 teams comprising a 3-player team and reserves. Teams can be mixed gender.

The BPL Cup provides an opportunity for club-based teams to progress through various rounds to National Finals, to be played in parallel with the November leg of the BPL at Club Pine Rivers, Queensland.

BPL Cup National Finals

Each November, the 16 national BPL Cup finalists’ teams receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Club Pine Rivers to compete in the BPL Cup National Finals, with the semi-finals live-streamed and the final broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.

Regular opportunities for dancing include;

JDK dancing resumed in large number last week and shows how popular Tim is with his dance lessons and followers. Singles and couples, for those who like to learn Jive and Rock’n’Roll you can try this on Monday and Wednesdays 7.15 pm – 9.30 pm and Sundays 3pm – 5pm.

Line Dancing has been given a resurrection during Covid virus times and will now continue on Tuesday nights from 7pm – 9pm.

Social Solo Dancing run by Pauline Shaw Started back on June 23rd with about 20 participants and will continue every Tuesday morning from 11am – 12pm.

NIA is a mix of dance, yoga, and martial arts and the hourly lesson is offered by Andrea that has also started back on Saturday mornings at 8am.

Zumba is offered on Monday nights from 5.55 to 6.55 led by Natalie.

Move Fit provides great hour of aerobic fun, led by Daniel at 9.15 for an hour on Saturdays.

Outdoor activities

  • Area 5 Football – Would you like to try soccer with five people per team?
  • Archery – The Sunset Coast Archers meet Sunday morning at 8.15.
  • Pétanque is a form of French boules. If you would like to give it a try, why not come down with a group of friends.
  • OFFWA had their first meeting at LMRC and are excited to be meeting again.
