Our History

Formerly known as the Wembley Bowling Club, the Club was officially opened in 1962. The Club gives thanks to the stewardship of Harry Christie and the first President Hon H Styants.  The Club originally opened with five grass greens.

Today, “Lake Monger Recreation Club” is a vibrant community hub. Situated on the banks of the picturesque Lake Monger, it offers a range of activities, a coffee shop and excellent facilities.  There are two synthetic greens, a Petanque area, and a 5 side Soccer rink.

Congratulations to all members past and present on their achievement in the establishment of our club which has provided much enjoyment for members and the community for years to come.
